Szeto-Wong Law received media coverage by prominent news organizations, including ABC News and The Sacramento Bee, concerning the firm's dedicated efforts in a case involving serious allegations of discrimination and hate-motivated acts. This coverage shines a light on the legal steps being taken on behalf of our client, a member of the Sikh community in Sutter, California.

The matter involves allegations brought forward by our client, a 66-year-old first-generation Sikh American. According to the civil lawsuit filed and reports from news outlets, our client alleged that he was subjected to two deeply disturbing incidents. The first incident reportedly involved a verbal assault at a local grocery store, where he was allegedly targeted with racist slurs and threats, including an attempt to intimidate him with a vehicle. It is further alleged that later the same day, racist graffiti was drawn on his driveway and in front of his home.
In pursuit of accountability based on these allegations, Szeto-Wong Law, in collaboration with legal partners including Minami Tamaki as co-counsel,filed a 41-page civil lawsuit. This legal action, filed in United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, named Sutter County, certain deputies of the Sutter County Sheriff's Office, and the individuals accused of the alleged racist threats and harassment as defendants.
Szeto-Wong Law is committed to the principle that all individuals deserve to live free from fear of discrimination and harassment. The firm utilizes the legal process to advocate for clients who are seeking top Bay Area employment lawyers.
Szeto-Wong Law commends our client for his courage in bringing these allegations forward and is dedicated to representing his interests in this important legal challenge. The firm also recognizes the important advocacy work of The Sikh Coalition in these efforts.
